Engineering Science Bldg. 225 - Interruption of Ventilation, Heating, Cooling and Exhaust
Date: August 18 to August 21, 2026 Time: 5AM to 2PM intermittently
FM Preventative Maintenance staff will be performing scheduled preventative maintenance work on the building’s heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This work includes inspection and replacement of air filtration media and fan motor belts, lubrication of motors, and inspection/repair of associated ventilation and hydronic heating and cooling systems.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL OCCUPANTS ARE NOTIFIED NOT TO USE FUME HOODS AND GAS CABINETS DURING OUTAGES AFFECTING THEIR AREAS.

Supply Fan AH-1 will be off before normally scheduled hours (serves labs on second and third floor north)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wednesday August 19, 2026 Emergency Generator will be tested from 7:00AM to 8:00AM (generator tests will affect emergency circuits throughout the building. Emergency circuits will lose power briefly during the test - less than one minute while switching to the generator)
Supply Fan AH-2 will be off before normally scheduled hours (serves Labs on second and third floor south)

Exhaust Fans EF-1 & EF-2 will be off from 8:00AM to 12:00PM (serves Labs and fume hoods on the second and third floor)
Compressed Air for general lab air will be off line 8:00AM to 9:00AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
