Subject: Air Handler #5 Out of Service – Building 503 (Engineering II)

We are currently investigating and have identified that Air Handler #5, located on the roof of Building 503 (Engineering II), is out of service due to failed motor bearings.

Repairs are underway, and the motor bearings will be replaced. The system is expected to remain offline until Monday, April 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM.

Scheduled - Elevators 1 and 2 at Broida Hall (Bldg 572) will be out of service on Saturday, April 19 from 6AM to 6PM while maintenance is performed as part of the ongoing modernization project.

Elevator access will be unavailable for all floors in the five-story section, and stairwells will be the only means of access during this time. Intermittent loud noise is expected throughout the day due to concrete cutting and related work. The lobby will remain protected and will be cleaned during and after the work.

Occupants and visitors are strongly encouraged to avoid the five-story section during the outage.
