Update - Notice: Contractor Vehicle Near Cheadle Hall on 4/28
The contractor will have a truck parked adjacent to the new generator location (in the planter at the northeastern corner of Cheadle Hall) tomorrow, April 28, for approximately 2–4 hours.
The vehicle will be clearly marked and surrounded by delineators and caution tape to ensure visibility and maintain safety for all pedestrians and nearby traffic.
Please use caution when passing through the area.

Update - We have our demo contractor scheduled to perform their work next Thursday and Friday, April 23 & 24. The team plans on starting at 6 AM and will be done at 2:30PM. This will most likely be louder than normal demo due to the echo chamber effect in the basement. We will do our best to get the loud work done as early as possible each day.

Scheduled - Design & Construction Services has three projects at Cheadle Hall with Plant Construction. See construction details below:
Work in the projects will include:
- Replacing the existing generator in the basement with a new generator in the planter area north east of Cheadle Hall.
- Removing the existing chiller and cooling tower and connecting the building to the campus chilled water loop. This will involve work in the basement, rooftop penthouse, and the installation of new underground piping across the plaza.
- Rebuilding of air handler equipment in the basement and rooftop penthouse.
Duration is anticipated to be now through late Fall. This listing will be updated throughout the project for upcoming construction activities and notifications.

Investigating - The steam boilers located in the basement that primarily serve the fourth floor auto claves in Bio II (571) have turned off for a unscheduled repair. We are actively working on securing the needed parts for the repair and strive to limit downtime to as little as possible.
